November Headlines

12/8/04- With 18 games left to go, it's still anyone's guess which four teams will make the postseason though it's a safe bet that the Northside Hitmen will be one of them.  The Hitmen will be anxious to defend their four straight IAL championships.

Here's an interesting piece of trivia... I knew Chuck Lucas and his Hitmen have been pretty formidable over the years but do you know when the last time the Hitmen have not made the Illowa playoffs?  The last time Chuck has watched the postseason from the sidelines was 1986.  Pretty impressive.

Pujols:  Triple Crown Threat?

The Triple Crown is looking more within Twin City Thunderchicken outfielder Albert Pujols' grasp.  With 18 games left, Pujols has a comfortable lead in batting average and rbis.  He trails by one homerun and the race is a crowded one with 4 other players within two homeruns of leaders Carlos Delgado and Alex Rodriguez.

Hitmen Fans Get Plenty of Souvenirs

The first place Northside Hitmen are on pace to hit 341 homeruns this year, an IAL record.  Of the top 7 homerun hitters in the IAL through 144 games, five are Hitmen.  All five have over 40 homeruns.
