Rocket Fire Have a Summer of Fun

Going into the month of June with a 29-40 record, things didn't look so good for the Molly Putts Rocket-Fire.  However, hot weather appropriately seems to agree with the Rocket-Fire.  In the months of June, July and August, they have went 20-7 including a 8-1 thrashing of the Rising Road Bamm! Beanos.  In addition, they defeated both the Twin City Thunderchickens and Green Rock Bombers 6-3.

In those three months, the Rocket-Fire have risen from  8th place to 5th and into playoff contention with a 49-47 won-loss record.  They have a 25-12 record against Iowa Division teams and have gone 24-35 against Illinois Division teams.  September's schedule brings a grueling 30-game stint against Illinois teams.

Commish Finishes 1968 Replay!

IAL President Mike Bunch finished his 1968 replay which he has worked on for three years.  Mike used the basic game with modifications similar to IAL's.  The results?  Detroit and St. Louis both won the pennant and will face each other in the World Series.  Hopefully, we'll get an update soon!
