Thanks to Al "Shorty" Colman for subbing for Todd Friday night |

|
Here are the two big winners of the weekend. Rob's Highlanders
went 20-10. John's Bamm! Beanos were 18-12. |

Saturday morning after breakfast. Chuck was wearing his
Southside (??) Hitmen t-shirt. I teased Tedd that he was only
wearing the NYY shirt to cheese off Don since they were currently
playing the Angels in the ALDS. It was actually an ARod shirt. |

Me 'n Teddy. Yes, a Cub fan wearing a Twins cap (it's a Twin
City Thunderchickens cap, thank you) and a Cardinals jersey (no, it's a
Pujols jersey). |

The story behind this: The Highlanders and the Thunderchickens
played out a long hard-fought series and we were hoping to win the last
game to split the six game series. The last game was rough and our
(well, at least my) bullpen was depleted. Tavarez allowed the
tying run in the bottom of the ninth but we managed to score the
go-ahead run in the top of the 10th. We needed a pitcher and knew
Rodigo Lopez would be perfect for the situation with all his innings.
I got on the phone to the bullpen and and told him to get ready.
"But Coach," he replied, "I can't. I started the game." ARGHH!
Nothing to do but to bite the bullet and bring in my remaining reliever,
Ricky "Dyz" Stone to preserve a precious small one-run lead against the
potent Highlander lineup.
He allowed a double but got the job done. Nice job, Stoney! |

Don playing his team against the Gamblers in Todd's absence.
Don went 6-0 but I have a feeling it would have been a more fun if Todd
had been there to rub his nose in it. :) |

|
The Hitmen/Bomber series. Mike has seemed to patched things up
with star reliever Mariano Rivera as he has come out of manager-imposed
retirement to pitch. |
|
|
Nick in his familiar pose with his head in his hands. |
|
|
Pujols is up to bat in the 05 All-Star Game (note his special dice
cup). |
|
|
John is no longer Tedd's bitch any more. He went
4-2 against him. |
|
|
Too much coffee on Sunday morning makes for an
excitable Tedd. |
